The Zanniskinheads and the Quest for the Holy Balls
With neither a brain cell nor common language between them, Peenut & Ribbòn, two obnoxious but loveable hooligans, search for the stolen Zanniskinhead grail: The Holy Balls. Commedia dell’Arte gets a 21st century face-lift in this unique comedy packed with slapstick, stand-up, storytelling and stupidity, not forgetting an atomic bomb. Loud, rude, joyous, irreverent, violent & triumphant: a must see in 2011.

The Zanniskinheads and the Quest for the Holy Balls is based on the modern Commedia dell’Arte characters & masks invented by Antonio Fava, and represent his most extreme work in the continuance of this 450 year-old comic art form. Keeping one foot in the tradition of Renaissance Commedia and the other in the rigourous energy of contemporary culture, Antonio Fava proves once and for all that the Commedia dell’Arte lives on today.
